UK Property Legal Help

The legal process that is central to the buying of a house is both complex and can be expensive, and yet many people fail to understand the differences between a solicitor and a licensed conveyancer even though on many occasions they work out of the same office.

It would seem a simple process that if transferring the title of one property to another person, but the system has developed over many years and now the whole method of buying a home is pinned on this work being done correctly and in a reasonable time too.

There are a few points to check when choosing someone for this important job, like are they experienced? What are the costs going to be? Are all the charges covered on the cost like stamp duty, search and land registration fees and VAT, if not these charges can really bump the final cost up. It is also a good idea to get some sort of completion time, remember it can take up to twelve weeks to complete.
