Village runs on solar power

Solar power is great idea, but unless there is a serious amount of sun they really don’t work properly, there is also the cost. However, the technology has moved along so quickly that they have become more efficient and the cost effective.

This can be shown by a village in west of South Korea, Donggwang is now a green village because it has become totally dependent on clean technology for all of their power requirements.

The village is made up of forty homes, a small school and other buildings, yet there is no mains power at all. The village gets all of its power from solar energy, which just goes to prove that this sort of power can be produced under the right conditions.

But clearly it still depends on how the power is used and how much power is required by each household.
