Moon to be bought and sold
As private space tourism is reaching out past the earths atmosphere there are calls for an international agreement as to what can actually be done should a private firm land on the moon and begin to colonise it.
There are several private companies interested in space tourism, but what happens when one gets to the moon, will they own it and then be able to sell of plots of land? Or will this be regarded as an invasion?
Until now the question has never arisen, but is it now time for some sort of unified international body that can manage the moon?
Without this, what is there stop someone from using all of their resources to land, colonise and then build a separate nation to the rest of the world, can the earth cope with a new superpower?
