Ban on UK people buying illegal property in Israel

The government are looking into how they could prevent UK residents from buying property in one of the many illegal settlements in Israel. But first, they need to establish an effective way of putting these plans into action.

The Foreign Office is responsible for dealing with this, but how they can encourage homebuyers from selling up in the UK and moving onto an illegal settlement is another matter.

Foreign Office Minister, Bill Rammell has said that they are looking into this matter.

However, with Israeli property companies actively coming here to promote these settlements through property exhibitions, it is clear that the matter is not going to be an easy task. The Government cannot even give out any figures as to how many Brits actually own property in these settlements.
