Council hires spy plane

Haringey Council in London, are spending council tax payers money on hiring a military type aircraft, this will be used to fly over the borough on a mission to detect those households who are wasting energy!

The plane that is fitted out with thermal imaging equipment will fly over the area seventeen times taking pictures of virtually every property in the area. Then the images will be laid out into a map and given colour coded ratings. Homes losing the most amount of heat will be shown as red and those good people who use the least would be shown in blue. I wonder how it would compare to the voting in an election.

The council intend to publish the results on their website; hopefully they also took images of the local and other government buildings to see how much heat they give off!
