Property developer (26) richest person in China
Just to prove that a country like China not only has great potential for business, it would appear that there are equal opportunities too. As the richest person in China is a 26 year old woman, Yang Huiyan became the wealthiest woman in Asia too, when the property development company started by her father went public on the Hong Kong stock market earlier on in the year.
Out the top forty billionaires in China twelve have made their fortune through property development. Which this year has seen a very sharp rise in values. Yet Yang Huiyans father grew up in poverty in south China where he started off life as a bricklayer before venturing into property development in the early 1990’s.
