Homeowners opt for home improvements

There is always an indicator that lets everyone know that there is a slow down in the market. That is when homeowners begin to make changes to their homes; this may be a new kitchen or bathroom, right up to an extension or conservatory.

What this shows is that anyone planning on spending some serious money on their house is not likely to be moving in the immediate term. At the moment according to Saga Home Insurance there are around a third of the UK homeowners currently carrying out work on their homes.

What with this and that fact that first time buyers have fallen too, this could mean a slow down in the property market over the short term.
