GPS causes £1.5 million damages to village

You have to feel sorry for some places on the map in the UK, they have to suffer flooding and storm damage etc, but nothing could prepare the small villages of Llandovery and Llangadog in Wales for what they had coming their way, these small and pretty places have narrow winding streets that date back for years.

So why on Earth does this place have heavy traffic pouring into it? And not only that some those buildings have been hit by HGV’s not twice but three times causing damage to the tune of nearly £1.5 million. So why is this happening now, when no lorries would even bother to try and drive the winding roads?

The answer is Sat Nav; drivers are following the Sat Nav right down tiny lanes even though it must be obvious that the vehicle is not going to make it. Is there no common sense left in the world?
