City within one building
Could this be the way cities will be created in the future? This is crystal island, Moscow, which is going to be built on the outskirts of the city by the river. It will rise up into the sky for 450 meters finishing in a pointed top, but this is no ordinary building it will become the worlds first high rise city.
Costing over £2 billion to build this building will include:
3000 hotel rooms,
900 serviced apartments,
A school,
Exhibition spaces,
Theatres,
Retail
Catering businesses,
Two public viewing platforms, at 150 meters and 300 meters.
The exterior of the building will be covered with solar panels; this will be complimented by wind turbines to produce power for the entire building.
